Avongrove Special Autumn Black Tea

description

There exists a very embracing quality in Avongrove teas and this autumnal proves it. A delectable floral quality comes through with every sip, feeling fresh, somewhat tropical, and fragrant - imparting sweetness to the palate but not of a cloying kind. Its flavors, while clean and definite, are anything but overbearing.

Delicious, But Light

Likes : Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality.

Dislikes : Weak.

I loved the flavor profile for this tea, and only wished it were more robust so it could carry milk as a tea to add to my breakfast routine. As is, I found it to be a light treat that helped me relax after work.

A Very Interesting Tea

Likes : Smooth Body.

Best Served : Anytime.

I purchased a 100g packet of this tea as part of my most recent order. Since drinking quite a few cups since that order arrived earlier this month, I have found this tea to offer a smooth, floral cup which is bright liquoring and aromatic. It displays some pleasant vegetal notes and a slight floral astringency. The overall taste develops on the palate and finishes on a sweetish-kind of note. A light astringency and fruity finish round out the profile of this very interesting tea.

great with lemon

Likes : Smooth Body, High Quality.

I found this tea to be a little weak by itself, but when paired with lemon the earthy flavor really pops. The lemon also brightens up the aroma and brings out the floral tones.

Unique and enjoyable

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Unique Flavor Profile.

Dislikes : Weak.

I have never tried a Clonal Black tea prior to receiving this sample, but I'm very pleased with the experience. The leaves were dark olive with some brown and light green mixed throughout, with a lovely floral scent. When brewed the tea was a bit lighter brown (coppery?) than usual black teas. A hint of malty flavor and delicate earthy taste. It was perhaps a little weak, but I found it very drinkable.

Lots of flavors, brews quickly, second cup is very good, fruity smell and nice tea taste. Might be a little strong for late evening as bedtime nears.
