Basmatia Special Summer Black Tea

description

This tippy black tea from Basmatia is nothing short of exceptional. Rounded sweetness, full-bodied liquor and a palate-coating astringency of the brew define the cup profile of this tea. A lively tang of cherry, sweetness of dates, and hints of plum and almond can be relished in the aroma as well as the taste of the brew. These zesty flavors accommodate a dollop of honey or sugar rather well, making it the perfect tea for a mid-day indulgence.

Sweet and gentle

This tea is something very special. I feel prune in flavour. And the taste is a mix of sour cherries and plums. It is perfectly balanced: not too astringent and not too sharp. I think it is ideal on its own or with a dark chocolate. :)

Less Bold Assam

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality.

This is one of the lighter, less bold Assams that I have tried. The dark cherry flavor is definitely present and delightful. This lacks the strength that I am used to in an Assam, but is still very enjoyable.

Very nice Assam that I reserve for my Saturday and Sunday mornings. A nice leisurely two cup pot to enjoy with a book and my dog by my side.

Nice flavour but a bit weak for an Assam

Likes : Smooth Body.

Dislikes : Weak.

Best Served : Anytime.

This is a very pleasant tea with a good smooth body and some pleasant aroma, however it's much weaker than most assam, so a good strong brew is required.
