Darjeeling Breakfast Tea

description

This is not a tea for those with a light palate. The flavors in it are strong, tannic, and assertive and promise to perk up your mornings in a matter of sips. While enjoyable on its own we recommend only the addition of honey and lemon for a more flavourful cup experience.

Floral and complex

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Morning.

I find this tea to be floral and astringent, but with a mix of complex flavors underneath. There is a touch of wood and some spice hidden in there. I don't notice as much sweetness as in some other breakfast teas. There is nothing simple about these flavors! They blend and evolve throughout each sip. Complex, floral, astringent….a really unique way to wake up a sleepy morning!

A classic flagship of Darjeeling!

I love so many Darjeeling teas, each for their unique and surprising flavors and aromas. This conspicuously Darjeeling Breakfast blend, however, is really just perfect tea. With an immediately intense and familiar flavor, it is a most classic representation of our Champagne of Teas. In fact, countless fruitless encounters with cardboard tasting, black tea knock off blends over the years are what drove me to discover the Darjeeling's of Teabox to begin with, and I have subsequently been blown away by multitudes of distinguished offerings. But this blend has locked into a traditional standard I could expect to encounter. Darjeeling Breakfast's long, flowery and caramel finish expresses flavor, even from the emptied cup as if just poured. That's a truly great quality in a tea. Full bodied, pungent and fruity-nothing ever need accompany this brew- that alone will amaze anyone you serve it to.

A very gentle eye opener

The smell before brewing is much like other black teas. When brewed, it tastes fresh and has a very smooth body. It is not too strong but strong enough to get you moving in the morning. I would say that this tea could be used not only in the morning but maybe even mid-day as a pick me up. When brewed there is a nice hint of fruit that adds to the smoothness of the brew.

Solid Tea. Just Remember, You're Making Tea.

Likes : Freshness, Smooth Body.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Morning, Afternoon.

Tea is easy to brew, but if forgotten while steeping it will become bitter. Taste great without needing to adding anything. Overall it's a great morning tea, as long as you're able to remove the tea bag around the 5 min mark, a true task for the forgetfully like my self.

Darjeeling Breakfast

This tea has been my favorite so far of the teas that I have been sampling. The aroma is wonderful, and the taste is magnificent. I love how it closely resembles an English breakfast tea, which is one of my favorite teas! I love the sweetness of it, which means that I don't have to add any sugar or honey! I enjoy the palate of ripe fruits as well. Thank you for sending this sample!

A pleasant surprise

I wasn't sure I was going to like this tea with its very earthy aroma; I thought it might be somewhat bitter, but it has ended up being my favorite tea of this batch, with a rich flavor perfect for lingering over.

The brewed tea has a very nice reddish color, and the fragrance is rich and citrusy. It's a very refreshing tea and definitely suitable to drink with meals or snacks.

Classic Darjeeling

I think this is a sold performer in the Teabox stable of wonderful teas. The fruity aromas are lifted and flavorsome and well balanced with a lovely muscatel profile. Something to really look forward to for breakfast to start the day.
