Doomni Special Spring Black Tea

description

Redolent with delicious malty notes and fresh fruity accents, this is a quintessential spring black tea from Assam.
Distinct note of smoked plum earmarks the flavor profile of this tea. The palate notes are further complemented by accents of tobacco and caraway seeds and the aftertaste features notes of cucumber and almond. This is a tea truly for the relish.

Mellow spring Assam tea.

Likes : Freshness, Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Afternoon.

A tasty mellow spring Assam, fresher and lighter than the more robust and maltier summer flush. It has a pleasant peachy-ness to it and a slightly sweet foundation. Personally I prefer the summer flush to this spring harvest.

Smokey sort of flavor

Likes : Great Aroma, Unique Flavor Profile.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Morning.

I think I haven't quite got the steeping time right on this one. The first time I tried, I over-steeped it and it became unpleasantly bitter. That scared me off a bit, so I steeped it much less later times. I preferred that taste, but it wasn't as thick or strong a black as I hoped. I may have been a little wary seeing 'tobacco' listed as one of the flavors.

Loved this tea. I can never decide if i should re-order what i liked or try a new one, but generally go for the latter. However with this tea, I'm going to make an exception and re-order. Its great with milk and without. It smells heavenly.

Very tasty, with some amazing dark notes.

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Unique Flavor Profile.

The leaves of this tea smelled amazing, and had the aroma of several dark fruits, with a hint of sweetness. Taste-wise, it was a bit dark, but I expected as much, and enjoyed it both with and without milk added. I enjoy a cup of this tea most in the afternoon, the caffeine is a nice boost to my mid-day routine, and the flavor reminds me of the outdoors, bringing to mind memories of camping.

Mehhh

Dislikes : Strong.

While this wasn't a bad tea, it just wasn't my favorite. There was something in the taste that just... didn't sit right.

It's nice, but....

Likes : Smooth Body.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Morning, Afternoon.

This isn't a bad tea, it just... wasn't at all what I wanted or expected. I had such high hopes too.... There's a smoky-sweetness in the malt-and-jaminess, and a bitterness if you let it linger in your mouth for too long. It has an interesting aroma, and brews to a lovely cup?

Versatile, any time of day tea.

Best Served : Anytime.

This is my very first time trying an Assam tea and I was certainly pleased with the result. Very delicious! I like drinking it for lunch and dinner, but it is good for anytime of day. I really enjoy the flavor of the tea and the crimson color of the tea itself.

excellent assam

Likes : Great Aroma, High Quality.

Best Served : Anytime, Morning.

A great tea I know am more biased towards the Darjeeling's but this is great brews in to a dark reddish clear liquor, with a dry malty taste with a chocolaty note and stone fruits and very little bitterness and a refined flavor excellent value for money. Reminds me rich tea biscuits. excellent all day.

Unusually refreshing

Likes : Freshness, Unique Flavor Profile.

This is my very first taste of an Assam first flush tea. How delicious! There are still some malty characters but much more pronounced are the notes of smoky plum and citrus. This flavour combination makes for a very unusual but refreshing cup of Assam tea and a great experience.
