Ganesh Himal Classic Spring Black Tea

description

We returned to the Ganesh Himal gardens after enjoying their smooth, light and mellow first flush teas last year. Firewood, earth, and red flowers define the tea's flavor profile this season. On the palate it’s relatively dry, with a sort of musty, earthy quality that’s actually quite appealing and sets you up for the next sip.

Great taste

Very good Nepalese spring harvest, very fine sheet of high quality with tips of tips. Infusion of a slightly darker character, balanced, pleasantly blooming sweet taste.

Awesome any time, yet I prefer it in the afternoon.

Much more complex and sophisticated than a year ago. The liquor is darker with fruitier aroma. Lower on bitterness this year allowing for stronger brew. 2 teaspoons into a cup allows its unconventional wood and fruit taste to excel without being killed off by too much bitterness. I think this tea is very interesting and delicate this year. Love it!

Would have liked more chamomile in the flavor profile

Likes : Freshness, Smooth Body, High Quality.

Dislikes : Weak.

Best Served : Morning, Afternoon.

Nice low-caffeine tea. Brews very clear and is deep gold/orange in hue. I had hoped for more of a chamomile flavor in the taste profile, as hinted at on the packaging. The liquor is slightly too vegetal in its flavor profile for my tastes. I think its high in quality but not quite my favorite taste on a personal level. I think fans of earthy teas will enjoy this one. Thank you to Teabox for sending me this tea complementary with my order. I appreciate the sample very much!
