Hathikuli Classic Summer Black Tea

description

Orthodox black tea from Hathikuli is prized for its impeccable flavor profile. Impressively sweet flavors of dates, honey and raspberry can be relished in the aroma as well as the taste of the brew. A hint of pecan comes through towards the end, enveloped perfectly among the many sweet notes. The flavors are brisk, robust, pleasantly astringent, and accommodate the addition of milk well. But savored as it is, this tea leaves your palate feeling absolutely satiated.

Unique & characteristic flavour

Likes : Smooth Body, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Morning, Afternoon.

Hathikhli summer black has a characteristic Assam maltiness with a yummy biscuity / nutty aftertaste that lingers on. A delicious addition to anyone's tea cupboard.

A classy Assam that doesn't overwhelm the cup

Likes : Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality.

Best Served : Morning, Afternoon.

The flavor profile is exactly what one would expect from a high-quality Assam. It's bold, but doesn't intrude on your palate. This Assam has a smoothness that I rarely encounter in a strong tea. I highly recommend this tea. It sets a standard.

Just what I look for in an Assam tea

Likes : Smooth Body, High Quality.

Best Served : Morning, Afternoon.

I'm partial to strong malty teas and I loved this tea the first time I tasted it. Strong malty tones with a hint of sweetness. No discernible astringency. I enjoy it with a dash of milk and it makes a great refresher in the morning or afternoon.

Great Breakfast Tea

I like nice strong teas and this one does not disappoint. I drink it with milk and my husband drinks it with milk and a little bit of sugar. I think this is a great breakfast tea and it is one of my favorites!

Very Good

Likes : Smooth Body.

Best Served : Morning, Afternoon.

The 1st time I tried this tea I did not like it. I like my tea strong so I used an extra 1/2 teaspoon of tea, DON'T do this follow the instructions. Second time I tried this tea thought Ummm....mm. The Third time I added almond milk and a bit of honey and WOE !!! The citrus and orange blossom notes are very faint. T would have liked them just a bit more noticeable. I will purchase more of this tea.

Good strong tea.

Likes : Great Aroma.

Best Served : Morning.

I take my tea black. As such I normally prefer a more well rounded tea with complex body. The Makaibari sample that Teabox sent me is perfect in that regard! The Hathikhuli is strong and intense and therefore a good morning tea to wake you up. It gives you a jolt with it's intensity and mouth feel. And as the review said, would probably taste best with milk or cream which I have not tried. I like this tea better and better as I drink it more often. Like the title says, it is intense but smooth. Some strong teas become bitter easily. This is not one of them. Steep to the recommended time and it is a very rewarding first cup of tea of the day!

Very strong tea

A very nice full-bodied tea. It makes for a good wake-me up, especially in a very long draggy meeting. One of my favourites.
