Langharjan Classic Summer Black Tea

description

For an Assam black tea, this tea feels quite restrained. As it turns out, that was very welcome. The flavors earthy, nutty, and fresh are light but impressive, made vibrant by a short burst of astringency.

Distinct and unique flavour

Likes : Great Aroma, Smooth Body, Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Afternoon.

Its hard to describe just how unique this summer Assam tastes. It has a strong floral, Lilly-like aroma and a sweet fruity undertone on the palate. Its smoothly textured and takes milk well. Certainly unlike any other Assam tea.

Nice Assam

Likes : Smooth Body.

Best Served : Morning.

I found this a good cup of tea for the morning, nice balanced flavor, and an excellent thing to exchange for your standard tea.

Strong but not too strong

Likes : Great Aroma, Smooth Body.

Best Served : Morning, Afternoon.

A good morning tea. A little smoky. If I was a milk user, this would be perfect.

Rich and slightly sweet

Likes : Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Morning.

I enjoyed this Assam. The aroma was slightly toasted, like almonds and the taste was rich and sweet I thought raisins and sugar cookies. Enjoyable with or without milk.

Mellow, fruity and full

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Unique Flavor Profile.

This has a really pleasant fruity, floral scent to it, definitely evoking summery evenings. The flavour is mellow peach, feels really rounded and comforting, but fresh at the same time.

Nice, not very strong, a starter Assam

Likes : Great Aroma.

Dislikes : Weak.

I like a strong assam and wanted this to be stronger. It was very nice and would make a good "intro to Assam" tea.

Definitely "Classic"

Likes : Freshness, Unique Flavor Profile.

Dislikes : No Flavor.

For me, this is a very good, classic black tea. The balance if flavors was nice, but nothing made thus stand out to me. If that is what you love about black tea, then this is one for you.

A Basic Black Tea

Likes : Freshness, Unique Flavor Profile.

For me this tea came across as a very even-ground black tea. It is not bitter or strong, but it still has enough flavor to it.

Quite a nice flavor, not a lot of body. I blended with some Kenyan to give it some body.

Good Breakfast Tea

Fairly strong, malty, good with milk and sugar. Steep for 5 minutes. Better than average Asssam.

citrusy and light

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma.

Best Served : Morning.

This is a nice tea, medium astringent, typically malty but with distinctive citrusy aroma. The body is light, but I wouldn't say weak. It's a good fresh morning tea if you don't want any of heavy Assam teas.

Ordinary in taste

Likes : Freshness.

Dislikes : Weak.

Best Served : Morning.

I would say that it is a good fresh tea but not outstanding. It could be stronger in taste. It makes a good morning light tea.

Full bodied classical Assam

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality.

Best Served : Morning.

Full flavoured, well characterised Assam. Excellent morning wake-up tea. The flavour is one typical of Assam teas - strong, malty character but with little to choose between them.
