Mouling Classic Summer Black Tea

description

Very few teas from the small-scale producers in northeast India boast strength of flavor and textural complexity in the way Darjeelings and Assams do. This one, however, is right at par. Its flavors are clean, earthy and brisk for most parts perfect for reviving a balmy afternoon.

Sweet tea

Likes : Great Aroma.

Dislikes : Strong.

Best Served : Evening.

It's similar to the assam tea, but the flavor is more soft than the assam tea. I think it's like the yunnan golden monkey tea i drank before. To summarise,I like it. I would buy it again.

This is so far my favorite black tea I have tried. The flavor is so nice and not to bitter. Very smooth. The aroma is wonderful. I feel the rosemary helps bring out all the joyful parts of this tea.

Unique and interesting alternative to Assam

Likes : High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Morning.

This is a difficult tea to describe, it has a malty Assam-like base with a top somewhat like green peppers. It takes milk well and is certainly a unique and interesting cup for the more adventurous tea drinker. Its a tea I like to come back to but not one i'd drink everyday.

Crisp; nice aroma. Bitter if overstepped. Honey brings out the flavor. I liked it a little stronger than stated directions.

Rosemary & Pine (Irish Breakfast)

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Morning.

This tea was very interesting. It has what I would consider the quintessential "tea" aroma, and the flavor reminds me a little of the Irish Breakfast tea I used to drink before I discovered Teabox. It's very astringent, and definitely high caffeine.

Good morning tea

Likes : Great Aroma, High Quality.

Best Served : Morning.

Nice tea, one of the great thing about teabox is being able to source some of the more unusual areas of plantation. Its very similar to an Assam and very tasty.

Bit woody, but makes a good brew!

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Smooth Body.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Anytime.

Like the other review said, its got a woody disposition. But add some milk and sugar to take the edge off and its a great brew!

Breakfast tea

Dislikes : Strong.

Best Served : Morning.

This tea tasted more like what I am used to in a Ceylon or breakfast tea. Its strong woody flavor might be tempered with milk (and sugar, to taste), although I did not try it that way.
