Muscat Earl Grey Tea

description

In a first of its kind, this unique Earl Grey blend combines a decadent Darjeeling muscatel black tea with fragrant bergamot extract for a sensory experience that’s headier than usual. The muscatel lends a sweet, fruity flavor to the tea while the bergamot offers an arresting hit of citrus. Notably sweet, refreshingly citrusy, full-bodied and astringent, the uplifting qualities of the tea are much like a traditional Earl Grey. Yet once you have tried this rendition of the classic blend, there is no going back to any other.

Great twist on Earl Grey

Likes : Great Aroma, Unique Flavor Profile.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Morning.

I think the brewing instructions are off - five minutes leaves this tea somewhat bitter. As long as it's not oversteeped, though, this is a great tea. It's distinctly Earl Grey, but wonderfully different too. A very nice morning cup.

The only Earl Grey that I like!

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

I've never liked Earl Grey tea because it always smells and tastes artificial and perfume-y to me. I got this Muscat Earl Grey as a free sample and was DELIGHTED! It was nothing like any Earl Grey I've tried before. It smells fantastic and totally different than what I expected. The taste is of a very deep, fresh Muscatel tea. I didn't ever think I'd say this, but I love this Muscat Earl Grey!

An Interesting Blend

Likes : Smooth Body, High Quality.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Dessert Tea.

An interesting little blend, suitable for a wide range of palates. A top note of searing citrus backed up with a complex melange of miso paste, sok jadro, seville orange, and casu marzu. Benefits from an extended steeping time.
