Puttabong Classic Summer Black Tea

description

This is a scrumptious summer tea from one of the largest and oldest tea estates of Darjeeling.
The flavor profile of this tea is predominantly fruity, with brisk notes of plum and lychee apparent throughout. The leaves produce an aromatic brew that’s silky in texture and notable for having sweet fruity flavors, accentuated by a smoky fleck of charcoal. The aftertaste of this tea is slightly sharp yet sweet, making the overall experience of the brew rather pleasing. With such an appetizing palate profile, this medium-caffeine black tea is ideal for a sip at any hour of the day.

If you are into fruits, this is your tea!

First sip and the taste of lynchee, plum and honey burst into your mouth. My Favourite tea from Teabox. Make sure you add little more sugar as sweetness add to the taste of Lynche and Plum. Also, unlike other teas you can drink it at anytime of day. Careful about steeping it; you steep it too long it gets bitter and loses its taste.

Excellent taste!

Best Served : Morning.

This tea is wonderful. It has a smooth texture and definitely tastes like plum like the description mentions. I like to drink this when waking up in morning and it always gets me ready for the day. I have even had my friends try it and they completely agree that it is magnificent. This is one of the all-time greatest teas available on Teabox and I can't wait to purchase more. I am brewing my second batch right now and I am already excited to try it again.

Dark Baked Bread

Likes : High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Evening, Dessert Tea.

This summer flush tea has a roasty, toasty quality to it, somewhat like a darker roasted oolong, but also with some classic Darjeeling quality. Both the dried leaves and the liquor are brown veering orange with a dash of red. To me, the flavor bears similarities to the crust of a dark-baked bread. Glad to have tried this tea as a free sample along with a recent order. I may be ordering more!

A Darjeeling that is 'out of the box'

Likes : Freshness, Smooth Body, Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Afternoon, Dessert Tea.

I for one usually have to be in the right mood for a Darjeeling tea. The light bubbly-ness of the brew is pleasant but I tend to like teas with a bit more depth. Here is that tea. A light golden amber brew that has a surprising depth to it that I have yet to experience in a Darjeeling. There are notes of fruit and nut with a slight hint of grassy freshness in the end. This could be my first anytime Darjeeling. A must for my tea cabinet.

Muted character but delicious

Likes : Freshness, Smooth Body, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Morning.

A delicately flavoured tea with a character of its own - slightly nutty fermented character without muscatel features. Not like heavily fermented teas nor typical Darjeelings. As fresh as it comes. If you don't try out Teabox teas you will never know what you have been missing all those years of drinking tired teas from your local "boutique" tea shop. There is no comparison!
