Singbulli Classic Summer Chinary Black Tea

description

This is a heavily-oxidized chinary tea and has the makings of a fine muscatel. Its flavors are brisk and assertive, tannins prominent in the cup, almost like a mature red wine. We think this the perfect tea for a garden party.

taste

The liquor is medium-bodied, brisk, and slightly astringent. It starts out on a clean, sour note, turning woody and astringent in the middle. There is a wine-like crispness to the liquor which makes the palate salivate, more so with every sip. The finish is short and resembles the taste of unripe tree fruit.

I like this black late in the day

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality.

Best Served : Afternoon.

It is not too strong but invigorating. The taste is mellow unlike some other black teas, especially when steeped at the suggested time. A lovely color and aroma. Very well balanced.

Very Earthy for a Darjeeling

Best Served : Afternoon.

This tea had a surprising taste for a Darjeeling - it more earthy than I expected. A recommended Add-on is lemon and I can see how that might enhance the overall profile of this tea. It definitely wasn't my favorite Darjeeling, but I can see this being a light afternoon tea for many.

It has very subtle undertone flavors but an overall earthy taste. Reviewed as part of the Teabox subscription program.

Great Afternoon Tea!

Likes : Great Aroma, Smooth Body.

Best Served : Afternoon, Dessert Tea.

Has a great scent, super lightweight and relaxing. I drank it plain, and it's nice and sweet so in my opinion it wasn't needed.
