Darjeeling Spring Private Reserve Black Tea

description

This is the third release in our private reserve series, and the first of the year. This blend has been crafted by our master blenders using the finest spring flush clonals from Darjeeling, chosen for their diverse range of flavors. As a result, the flavors in this blend span the spectrum of floral and fruity to woody and smoky – all well-balanced and extremely rounded.

Not your usual

Likes : Great Aroma.

This was a first timer for me, but loved immediately the wonderful aroma of the dry leaves. This was even better after the steeped leaves cooled down. As in the previous reviewers comment the floral notes were not as dominant as many Darjeeling but had a nice dryness a deep taste I liked.

Wonderful, but not very floral

Likes : Great Aroma, Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Anytime.

The tea is wonderful and in many ways typical Darjeeling, but it misses the last tea leaf from me due to missing floral notes. If floral is not your thing, but you still like spring Darjeeling, this may be the perfect tea for you. The aroma is inviting, sweet and medium strong, the taste quite special, both vegetal and fruity, with a sweet and long finish. It will definately be something I may buy later as a "different" tea, but not as my primary cup of tea (literally;-)
