Turzum Classic Summer Black Tea

description

Teas from the Turzum estate are quiet and ethereal. They have layers of flavors, complex ones too, and yet never overwhelm. This year, we find ourselves reaching for this black tea, for its smooth and earthy flavors.

It's nice and pleasant, but the aroma and the taste aren't of my choice. It has a fruity or floral notes

Not bad, but not my favorite

Likes : Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality.

Dislikes : Weak, Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Morning, Afternoon.

I didn't taste anything special in this brew. It could be that the floral and herb notes are lighter than I'm used to; I couldn't find the cherry blossoms or thyme in the aroma. Overall, a smooth drink with a nice, light flavor.

A well-made balancing act

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

This tea has a lovely balance of strength and floral/fruity notes, and, as recommended, is great plain. There is definitely a jasmine or summer honey-bee pollen note, but also good oomph and a slight background astringency. Quite a value.

Really light, floral black tea. I like it best in the mornings, because of the caffeine content.

Wonderful floral black tea!

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Unique Flavor Profile.

Sweet, floral, and aromatic - some of my favorite qualities in a tea. Dry leaves are dark brown, with almost black and silvery leaves interspersed. When brewed it makes a very dark liquor, which makes the brisk and floral taste/aroma all the more surprising. Highly enjoyable.

Light and refreshing

Likes : Freshness, Unique Flavor Profile.

Dislikes : Weak, Bitter if Over-Steeped.

This light golden tea is the perfect refreshing drink for a hot summer afternoon. The grassy taste was unexpected but not unpleasant. Not what I would choose to drink all day everyday, but it is a pleasant change from dark, heavy, tannic teas

unusual and distinctive

Likes : Great Aroma, Smooth Body.

This tea got me already when I smelled the dry leaves - a scent of dark chocolate in a summer Darjeeling? The liquor has nice redish colour, with hot chocolate still present in the aroma. Body is nice rounded with pleasant astringency. Overall very nice tea with touch of wood in taste resebling autumn flushes.
