Vanilla Pledge Chai

A classic, all-time favorite blend of bold black tea, whole vanilla pods and crushed cinnamon. Nothing spells celebration like a steaming cup of this tea. Indulge in the scents of vanilla and cinnamon as the brisk black tea recharges you. The taste starts out with rich notes of malt and cream with vanilla kicking in gradually. The cinnamon provides a tangy counterbalance to the otherwise heavy flavor. The tea finishes long with a sweet aftertaste.

A well-balanced sweet and bold chai

Likes : Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Morning, Afternoon.

I found the vanilla flavor not to be too sweet or overpowering and that it balanced perfectly with the flavor of the cinnamon and bold black tea. So soothing on a cold Autumn/Winter day! I experimented and sometimes added a drop of milk and honey to it as well – it was incredibly delicious this way too! Yummm!

I typically enjoy spicy chais, but this vanilla chai was delicious and well-balanced. A great breakfast tea.

Teabox has a wide variety of Chai. If you think Chai is only Masala, try this blend and the many others offered.

As delicious as the name suggests

A beautiful aroma is matched by a delectable flavor. The vanilla and cinnamon are perfectly balanced with a smooth black tea base. Most enjoyable, if a bit on the pricey side.

Great flavour and taste!

This tea is very interesting: a blend of high quality tea, great natural vanilla and a hint of cinnamon. The aroma is very candy-vanilla and the taste is deep, with vanilla as a main ingredient and just a subtle cinnamon notes. If you like this one i also advice you to try Winter Spice Chai - it is even more spicey and more warming.

Smells like a cinnamon bun!!

Likes : Great Aroma.

As many have noted the smell of this tea is intoxicating. It smells like the best homemade cinnamon bun, and the flavor did not disappoint. I made a large pot and drank it over two days. The flavor stayed true. Definitely a favorite!

Beautiful aroma, but bitter if not careful

Dislikes : Strong, Bitter if Over-Steeped.

The moment I broke open the ziploc the aroma owned me. It set a high expectation on the cuppa. As I sipped my first, it smelled great but the taste was a bit too strong, on the bitter side. I like my tea with less/no sugar. But I had to add a generous spoon on sugar to compensate the flavor, but still the (bitter) after taste lingered on. Apart from that, the tea makes you feel like you have puffed your face with the finest cinnamon/vanilla perfume (if there is one). It feels very pleasant that way. I love this tea as a nice palette cleanser after a heavy meal or a instant wake up alarm on a boring afternoon.

Smells amazing!

Best Served : Morning.

This tea has an excellent aroma of vanilla and cinnamon. Both flavors complement each other perfectly. It provides a great holy of energy and has a mellow aftertaste. It is a very nice tea that I like to drink early in the morning to get a head start on my way. I would certainly try this tea again.

Opening the package the aroma is of well blended vanilla and cinnamon, neither overpowers the other. Both flavors balance each other wonderfully. I did notice my second cup from the same kettle had a slightly bitter aftertaste which was not noticed in the first cup. Overall, a very pleasant tea, this tea is an energizer.

I received a sample of this in a sample kit, and it was the first chai I tried. I know 30 quid sounds an awful lot of money for 100 gramm of tea, but believe me , this is the creme de la creme of tea in my opinion.

Smooth and relaxing

I consider this more of a flavored black tea than a spiced chai. That said, this full leaf tea, good for multiple steeps, brews up an incredibly smooth, dark cuppa with an enchanting vanilla scent and flavor. The vanilla flavor dominates, the cinnamon notes are understated by comparison. It is excellent as a holiday or dessert tea.

This wasn't what I expected. Less a chai and more a flavored black tea. Notes of Vanilla and Cinnamon were delicate and relaxing. I liked this with a bit of sweetener to bring out the vanilla/cinnamon notes. Easily takes milk or can be enjoyed black.
