How To Steep

Step 1

Heat 150ml of water to 80–85°C (176-185°F).

Step 2

Measure 1.5 tsp (2.5 g) of tea into the teapot or infuser.

Step 3

Pour the hot water over the leaves and cover.

Step 4

Let it steep for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Strain and pour. These leaves give their best in one steep.

Serving

Best enjoyed plain, or add a dash of milk, honey.

Surprisingly Delicious & Different

The tea tastes Fantastic. It comes in a little brick which you open & then transfer to a little pouch. You know that feeling of delicious micronutrients entering your body? I feel that with every sip. Couldn’t be happier with the bergamot flavor & how it comes together in the perfect cup of Earl Grey. Highly recommend!

I’m so glad I decided to give Teabox teas a try! I’m not going back to grocery store tea…my mouth would revolt! The classic Earl Grey is my favorite way to wake up in the morning, with a gentle kiss of flavor, and the Assam Masala Chai spices up my afternoons. Thank goodness for Teabox!

Earl Grey Darjeeling

I tried an earl grey darjeeling in a sampler pack a couple years ago and I can't find it anywhere else on the site. The bergamot flavor complimented the muscatel profile and was well balanced, but this can easily became astringent.

Very aromatic, especially before steeping

Open g the pouch you get a strong classic aroma of bergamot, so you are definitely going to think “Earl Grey” (though wife also always notes that bergamot smells like Froot Loops - a kids’ breakfast cereal here in US. Haha. Earl Grey has never been my favorite but for an occasional change of pace, I like it ok. The bergamot always seems to overpower the tea in my view. After brewing, the aroma seems not quite as strong. If you love E-G, you’ll probably love this. It’s just not a variety that’s my go-to.

Maybe the best Earl Grey I have ever had

I’m completely obsessed with Earl Grey and I know personal preferences vary but this Earl Grey is spectacular and one of the best I’ve ever tried. First tried the sachets and they are good but the loose is exceptional. Perfectly balanced and plenty of bergamot but it’s smooth yet still retains that wonderful sharpness and not too floral feeling like some Earl Greys from India (which I also love). But this one is like the best of both worlds. Maybe all worlds. 10/10 for me.

I bought the Earl Grey loose tea to see if it really was that much different than the tea I had been drinking for years. OMG. It was like stripping a dulling layer of sawdust off the tea. The teabox Earl Grey was fragrant, flavorful, and rich in a way I didn’t even know I was missing until I experienced it. Fantastic. Now I have to try more flavors!
