Matcha is a finely powdered green tea originating from Japan, created through a meticulous process involving shade-grown tea leaves called tencha.

Before harvest, the tea plants are shaded for around 20-30 days, enhancing chlorophyll levels and imparting Matcha's vibrant green color.

Following harvest, the leaves undergo steaming to prevent fermentation, and then they are dried and stone-ground into a fine powder using traditional granite mills.

This is my first matcha. For someone who is not a big fan of any drink that looks green, this one was a winner for me. I prefer to have it iced, as I think the sweetness comes through better and it's more palatable for me. It would be great if a larger quantity option is made available. It would be more efficient!
