The Garden

Planted in 1837 in Assam's Upper Valley, Namsang's Section No. 1 remains one of the earliest formal tea plantings in the region, honored by a marble monument raised for its 1937 centenary.

Set between the Jaypore Biosphere and the Burhi Dehing River, its rainforest shelters leopards, Hoolock gibbons, elephants and 277 bird species, a rare union of wild biodiversity and fine Orthodox tea.

How To Steep

Step 1

Heat 150ml of water to 85–90°C (185-194°F).

Step 2

Measure 1.5 tsp (2 g) of tea into the teapot or infuser.

Step 3

Pour the hot water over the leaves and cover.

Step 4

Let it steep for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Strain and pour. These leaves give their best in one steep.

Serving

Enjoy it plain, or add milk, honey or lemon to suit your taste.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tea as my morning cuppa. Very smooth without a strong tang. Prefer a more dominant taste later in the day, but for my wake up cup i found this ideal.

The best brew

I absolutely love tea box tea! From the moment the hot water is poured on the leaves and you can smell the tea brewing is wonderful! The deep caramel colouring and the taste is amazing! I won’t swap to any other tea or tea company! Thank you Teabox!

Very good tea'

It is not as strong as I expected, but very pleasant and palatable. I shall try some other Teabox brew.

Perfect tea

I didn’t taste all the teas I got myself - and being a tea-enthusiast, drinking lose leaf teas forever I can say, this is one of the best I brewed. Yet. I’ll definitely come back for more. I just hope the fair producing story is true and not just a marketing gag.

A twice a day tea

Well, I am very sensitive to foods and this tea does not give me headaches or problems so I order it repeatedly and never tire of the taste or consistency.

Wonderful morning tea

Wonderful Assam tea. We use it straight and also mix it as a base for other lighter teas.

Always assam

I like to add milk so want a substantial leaf, large too. This was a good base tea and agreeable with others for a different taste as well as on its own.

Another special brick on the wall

Halmari hits you immediately as a great tea but it took some time to appreciate our second order, Namsang Summer black. Learning to improve preparation process to get the best of the flavour. This is also very good Assam tea. I really like the mentioning of Year to help us learn the importance of freshness. Great vacuum sealing. Teabox is a great help in my experiments...with Tea, ofcourse

Very distinct flavor Namsang

This is my second order of Namsang classic summer Tea . I must say this that this is very special in this rang . I did study on the Namsang Tea Garden and it is exciting as much the taste and flavor . Great tea and I enjoy the most in the early morning !

A perfect tea to start the day

The flavor of the tea is just majestic and it gives the right start for the day. The aroma, the flavor, the color is all too perfect and good. I love to try out various varieties of tea and this one as of now is the best. Also from teabox the packaging was vacuum packed thereby keeping all the quality in place.
