How To Steep

Step 1

Heat 150ml of water to 85–90°C (185-194°F).

Step 2

Measure 1.5 tsp (2 g) of tea into the teapot or infuser.

Step 3

Pour the hot water over the leaves and cover.

Step 4

Let it steep for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Strain and pour. These leaves give their best in one steep.

Serving

Enjoy it plain, or add milk, honey or lemon to suit your taste.

Hi,

You requested feedback on my first order from Teabox.

Firstly, the supplied tea was well packaged on arrival and I endorse the vacuumed sealed packets to retain freshness.

I’ve been drinking loose leaf tea all my life so my expectations were set high, especially having read through all the hype on email and social media!

The supplied tea produced a good cup of tea but not of notable difference from my usual tea purchased in UK at less cost.

I was expecting whole leaf tea but your Assam was no different to my local supplier’s tea.

Therefore, thank you, your tea is good but more expensive than I can buy locally. There’s not a significant tase difference from my existing tea so I don’t think I’ll be reordering from you.

Never boring

This Halmari is my all-time favorite Assam - it's full-bodied, moderately strong, and malty but not overly sharp or citrus-y in the finish like many Assams. There is a complex, mouth-filling, subtle sweetness and vanilla/floral quality that lasts from beginning to end. I find many Assams to be just boring due to the high tannins/malt creating a rather monolithic experience. Not this one. I drink it every day and the experience is still fresh.

A superior Assam

This is the best tea EVER.

Strong but delicious

This is a very strong tea but a delicious tea. Because of high in caffeine, it gives me a buzz half way through my 500ml mug that I usually have this tea in. A delicious and well balanced tea. I highly recommended this tea.

I don't drink Assam teas a lot, so my comments are not very authoritative, however, this is one of the best I have tried. A lot of the Assams seem one dimensional to me - malt is about it but in this one the dates and sweetness came through.
