TRANSPARENCY AND TRACEABILITY
Tea is a product of its ecology. The terroir, climate, soil, care, and dedication of pluckers, and garden managers impact the quality of tea. That’s why we strive for personal relationships with gardens, some of the growers have been with us since the inception. They are the foundation of our sourcing model. Teabox sources tea from over 273 tea estates across India and over 95% of the tea can be traced back to the estate level. Being just hours away, we travel to many of these plantations almost every month.
Our Unique & Transparent procurement process, from leaf to cup
We prefer to source teas and herbs that fulfill strict criteria or certifications viz Rainforest
Alliance, Organic farming, Ethical Tea Partnership, UTZ, Fair Trade & Geographical
Indication (GI) tagging. This conscious choice is a driving principle of our business model
that contributes to creating sustainable practices. And helps us determine a lower
carbon footprint on the tea leaf resulting in better and fresher cups of tea.We mightwork with many plantations but we only have one planet. And we want to ensure thatwe improve and care for it in every way possible.
