For over a decade, Teabox has crafted India’s finest loose-leaf chais — blends made with real Assam tea and regionally inspired spices. Many of these became customer favorites: Kadak Chai, Assam Masala Chai, Wayanad Cardamom Chai, Kashmiri Saffron Rose Chai, and Kolkata Street Chai.

But there was a gap.

The ready-to-drink premix market was dominated by sugary, heavy, artificial-tasting products filled with maltodextrin, preservatives, and synthetic flavors. Convenience came at the cost of health — and chai lovers deserved better.

So we reimagined the premix category from the ground up.

Fossence is a natural prebiotic fiber (FOS) made through the fermentation of cane sugar. It supports gut health, improves digestion, and adds gentle natural sweetness — making your chai healthier without added sugar.

Why is Sunflower Lecithin added?

Sunflower Lecithin is a natural, plant-based emulsifier that gives your chai a smooth, creamy texture. It is a cleaner alternative to synthetic emulsifiers used in regular premixes.

Is this safe for diabetics?

This product is designed to be diabetic-friendly because it contains no added sugar and uses low-GI natural sweeteners (FOS + Stevia leaf extract). However, individual needs vary — please consult your physician or dietitian if you have specific dietary restrictions, are on medication, or require strict glycaemic control.

Is this truly made with real spices?

Yes. Each flavor is made with real spices (for example: cardamom, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, saffron, rose) as listed on pack. Where needed, we use complementary natural flavors only to preserve aroma — we do not use synthetic essences.

Why is INS 551 (Anti-Caking Agent) used?

INS 551 (Silicon Dioxide) is a safe, naturally occurring mineral that prevents lumps and keeps the premix free-flowing. It is not a preservative and does not affect taste or quality.

Is this premix completely sugar-free?

It is not sugar-free, but it contains No Added Sugar. Any sugar present comes naturally from the dairy whitener (lactose), not from added refined sugar. The sweetness in each cup comes from FOS (prebiotic fiber) and high-purity Stevia leaf extract, with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Is this suitable for lactose-intolerant customers?

Our premix contains dairy whitener, so it may not be suitable for those with lactose intolerance. Please check the ingredient list before consumption.

Does it contain caffeine?

Yes. It contains caffeine naturally present in Assam tea extract. The level is similar to a regular cup of chai. Enough to refresh you, not overwhelm you.

Why do I sometimes see tiny spice particles in my chai?

Those are real, finely ground spices like ginger, cardamom, and nutmeg — proof that we use natural ingredients instead of artificial “masala flavor.” They are completely safe and edible.
