Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use teabox.com or buy from us. The site is run by Teabox Inc, and “we”, “us” and “our” mean Teabox Inc. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Using our store

You must be at least 18 to place an order. You agree not to use the site or our products for any illegal purpose, not to break any laws that apply to you, and not to send any viruses or harmful code. If you break these terms, we may stop providing our services to you. Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc.

2. Orders, prices and cancellations

• Prices can change without notice. You pay the price shown when you place your order.
• Cancellations: to cancel or change an order, contact us within 12 hours of ordering, before it ships.
• Our right to refuse or limit orders: we may refuse an order, or limit quantities per person, household or order, including orders that appear to be placed by resellers. If we change or cancel your order, we’ll contact you and refund any payment.
• Fraud checks: to protect our customers, we check that billing and shipping details match and watch for suspicious activity. We may ask for more information, and may cancel an order we believe is fraudulent.
• Your details: please give us accurate, up-to-date contact, delivery and payment information, so we can complete your order.

3. Shipping, duties and our guarantee

Delivery times, shipping costs, duties, our guarantee, and how refunds work are set out in our Shipping & Returns policy, which forms part of these terms. Delivery dates are estimates; delays caused by couriers, customs or events outside our control can happen, and if anything goes wrong we’ll help put it right.

4. Our products

• We describe and photograph our teas as accurately as we can. Each harvest varies a little, and screens show colours differently.
• Some products are available in limited quantities, or only in certain countries. We may discontinue a product at any time.
• Health note: our tea descriptions are for general information, not medical advice. If you’re pregnant, on medication, or have a health condition, check with your doctor.

5. Accuracy of information

Occasionally the site may contain errors in product descriptions, prices, offers, shipping charges, delivery times or availability. We may correct them, and cancel an affected order, at any time, including after you’ve ordered. If we do, we’ll tell you and refund any payment. Information on the site is for general guidance and may not always be current.

6. Reviews, comments and ideas

If you send us reviews, comments, photos or ideas, you allow us to use, edit and publish them, without payment. You agree they’re your own, are accurate, and don’t break anyone’s rights or contain anything unlawful, abusive or harmful. We may remove content we consider unlawful or inappropriate.

7. Your personal information

How we collect and use your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party tools and links

The site may include tools provided by other companies, and links to other websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or practices. Please read their terms and policies before using them.

9. Things you must not do

You must not use the site to break the law; infringe anyone’s intellectual property; harass, abuse or discriminate against anyone; give false or misleading information; spread viruses or harmful code; collect other people’s personal information; spam, scrape or crawl the site; or get around its security. You must not copy, resell or exploit any part of the site without our written permission.

10. Our liability

We work to keep the site available and accurate, but can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Except for our guarantee in the Shipping & Returns policy and your rights under consumer law, the site and our products are provided “as is” and “as available”, without other warranties.

To the extent the law allows, Teabox Inc and its directors, staff, suppliers and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data, arising from your use of the site or our products. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Indemnity

If a third party makes a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees.

12. General

• If part of these terms isn’t valid, the rest still applies.
• Ending these terms: you can stop using the site at any time. We may end these terms, or your access, if you break them. Anything owed before then still applies.
• Whole agreement: these terms, with our Shipping & Returns and Privacy policies, are the full agreement between you and us. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
• Governing law: these terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections your local consumer law gives you.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, and the date below shows when it last changed. Orders are covered by the terms in place when you placed them.
