Tasting Notes

From our Chief Tea Taster
Submit
Aroma
Warm malt and golden raisin lead, with a subtle touch of honey.
Appearance
Dark amber
Taste
The cup opens with a rich, rounded malt character, accompanied by the deep sweetness of date palm and yellow raisins. The liquor feels smooth and full across the palate, with a lively briskness that brings freshness and definition. As it develops, gentle stone-fruit nuances emerge, adding a softer, fruitier dimension to the darker malt and dried-fruit notes. The second half of the cup moves towards soft cocoa, followed by delicate caramelized sweetness that lingers on the finish. A touch of astringency provides structure without taking away from the tea’s richness, leaving a clean, refreshing aftertaste. Layered, balanced, and deeply satisfying, this is a summer black with plenty of depth and character.
