How To Make Chai?

BOILING METHOD - WATCH

STEEPING METHOD - NO MILKPAN NEEDED

Step 1

Heat 150 ml of water to 90–95°C (194–203°F).

Step 2

Measure 1 tsp (2 g) of chai into the teapot or infuser.

Step 3

Pour the hot water over the leaves and cover.

Step 4

Let it steep for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Strain into your cup - add a dash of milk and a sweetener if you like.

Serving

Perfect as it is. Add milk, any sweetener of your choice.

Storage Instructions

CTC stands for Crush, Tear, Curl — a method used to process black tea leaves into small, hard pellets. This style of tea produces a stronger, brisker brew that pairs perfectly with milk and spices, making it ideal for authentic Indian chai.

What is Masala Chai?

Masala Chai is India’s signature spiced tea — a mix of strong black tea and aromatic spices like cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and black pepper, brewed with milk and sugar for a warm, comforting cup.

Why is it called ‘Cutting Chai’?

Good chai, but like Assam better

This is a good high-quality chai, like anyone from Teabox. However, comparing it with the Assam Chai, I like that way move. In fact, love that.

Crowd pleaser

My whole family sampled all of the chais in the trial pack and this was a solid 8-9/10 stars for all of us! Our preferences varied much more widely on most of the other chais, but we agreed this one is a great staple chai for everyone.
