Doomni tea estate, nestled in the lush landscapes of Baksa district in Assam, is renowned for its exceptional black teas. Spanning 2,020 acres, the estate is set against the backdrop of rolling green hills and the majestic Brahmaputra River. At an elevation of 120 meters, Doomni enjoys an ideal climate for tea cultivation. The estate, originally a sugar plantation, has evolved into a premier tea producer, known for its robust CTC teas and high-quality orthodox varieties.

A good assam tea , i have my tea with milk , does turn bitter if you steep a little longer , malty taste , but taste starts to turn watery , if you have tried halmari and mokalbari , then you wont like doomni gold , as their taste is far superior

Good but not malty

This is a good, basic Assam. Be careful not to over steep less it becomes bitter. This '23 batch isn't particularly malty.

Gorgeous Assam!

Lovely dark leaves with plenty of golden tips. A beautiful deep copper liquor and an exceptionally smooth and malty tea with plenty of sweetness. Not "furry" in the mouthfeel like some Assams can be. No bitterness with a 5-minute steep at 90C. If Assam tea could be silk, it would be this summer's Doomni Gold.

This tea is deep copper red. It takes sugar and a small dollop of cream to drink English style. Reminds me of the tea I drank as a small child. I have yet to order a tea from Teabox that I haven't loved!
