For well over a century, Giddapahar Tea Estate has watched over the rolling hills above Kurseong, producing teas that are celebrated for their depth, elegance, and unmistakable Chinary character. Founded in 1881 and nurtured by the Shaw family across generations, the estate remains one of Darjeeling's most respected custodians of traditional tea-making.

Its prized Chinary bushes, some descended from the earliest plantings, thrive in the cool mountain climate and contribute a distinctive complexity that has become synonymous with the estate's finest offerings.

Best tea I’ve ever had

I can’t go back to supermarket-bought teabags after drinking Teabox teas for over two years. I used to think I did not like Darjeeling teas until I tried Teabox’s Darjeelings, and now I am a convert. The teas are super flavorful and super fresh. Prices are reasonable and they even have sales (price reductions). Shipment is quick, especially considering that shipments are coming overseas from India. It’s such a delight to see the tea leaves unfurling in hot water, and not be left with just tea crumbs in the strainer. Their chais are also delicious!

Reminds me Chinese oolong tea from Guangdong. Nutty, floral, good extra virgin olive oil notes, almonds, peach. Excellent example of second flush Darjeeling tea.

I have been it love for many years but like almost South Indians I had mil Kitty. I had the box had introduced me to the potentially the right way of making tea by Britain water without burning it and then adding test dollop of milk whenever you order and duty is there is always in an over excitement around that will turn out good the or whether you like it or not I think when I ordered the give the bahar Chennai black I will happen MI tradition but the moment I breathe it and I tasted it it had just the right consistency and and the substance to make for beautiful cup in the evening
