Burnside Classic Spring Green Tea

description

Burnside is among the best producers of high-quality orthodox green teas in India. Their tea is distinct for their semi-ball rolled appearance that produce a bright lemony cup that's tipped with concentrated, rich-textured and high-fired flavors. These greens require a very short steep and taste best steaming hot.

Interesting/Compelling Taste for a Green Tea

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Smooth Body, Unique Flavor Profile.

The liquor offers a dark green coloration and has a smooth and slightly smoky aroma. The taste is robust, rocking between a spinach-like bitterness/astringency and a playful taste with hints of sweet pea. It's a consistently vegetal tea, but has some character to it. The mouthfeel that remains is somehow dry and slick at the same time. If you want a compelling green tea experience, be a bit generous with the leaves when steeping this and you won't regret it. Green tea can often come across as a singular-tasting experience; however, this Burnside when brewed strongly, brings a smooth feeling, and pleasingly challenging green tea experience. A great pick-me-up on a cold winter afternoon, which is how I enjoyed it.

This is a very nice light green color when brewed. I love the smooth flavor. No bitter like you can get in some green teas. Very fresh, love the smell of the leaves. I would drink this any time of day hot or iced.

Smooth seaweed plesure

Likes : Great Aroma.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

A great, all-around, green tea even for those who are not overly into green teas, as long as it is not over-steeped in which case it can become very bitter. The taste is simple enough to drink anytime but is not mind-blowing. Smooth body and the seaweed reminds you of spring/summer holidays. Reviewed as part of theTeabox subscription program.

This is very drinkable for a daily drinker, not super amazing or stunning, but fresh and pleasant. Reviewed as part of the Teabox subscription program.

This tea is very smooth with a mild astringency. It's a good green. Basic and very drinkable, but not exotic or different.

Burnside Classic Spring Nilgiri Green

Likes : Freshness.

Dislikes : No Flavor, Bitter if Over-Steeped.

This tea looked nice. The smell (cream, and seaweed) was a turn-off. It didn't smell bad, just, like seaweed. Perhaps I will grow into that aroma, but as of now, it's strange. The taste was that of underwater plants as well. The flavor is OK. I will definitely finish the sample, but more than likely not get it again.

Reminded me of the ocean but a little sweeter than briny. A great tea to drink slowly and savor.

Smooth tea....doesn't quite satisfy

Likes : Freshness, Smooth Body.

Dislikes : Weak.

Best Served : Anytime.

Steep for exactly 3 minutes from 178 degrees to 181 degrees F. I found that 179 degrees F works best. Tea is smooth but far from satisfying. Color of tea after steeping, pleasantly relaxing

Slightly Smokey Green

Likes : Smooth Body.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Anytime, Afternoon.

Still drinking tea at work. Still not an ideal circumstance. Alas. This tea has a very pleasing yellow color when brewed, and a very light aroma. When the tea first enters the mouth it's sweet, with the tiniest hint of smoke after it's been swallowed. It's a very smooth tea. There's a bit of astringency, and the smokey-sweet lingers for a bit. It can be a bit bitter if over-steeped, which is fine in my case - I like it like that. The bite helps me wake up. I've been drinking this in the afternoon, but it could be drunk anytime.

I soak fresh tea tree leaves in hot water for 5 hours, then drink it. I drink around 1 liter of green tea water a day. Feels fresh and light all day! They have very nice offers on this site and the quality is great.
