Chota Tingrai Special Summer Green Tea

description

Of all the summer green teas we've sampled so far, this one stood for its clean, mouth-filling flavors. It doesn't have the edgy quality that most Assam green teas do. Instead, the liquor is ample the mouth and stays so throughout the length of the cup. What also caught our attention was the umami texture of the brew which takes the overall experience of this tea up by significant notches.

Unique dryness; lovely flavor

Likes : Freshness, Unique Flavor Profile.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Afternoon.

Bold, but not overwhelming. Light and clean on the tongue. This green tea doesn't taste like grass in the same way that others do. I would perhaps say, "oak leaf" is a more apt adjective. The tea is tannic only in that it dries out my mouth - there's no bitterness (s rather different sensation for me to have one without the other, it almost reminds me of a dry wine). Due to this, I would suggest enjoying with a meal in order to consistently reopen the taste buds. I want to keep tasting the flavor, but the dryness seems to get in the way.
