Deha Classic Autumn Green Tea

Sip in the goodness of this organic green tea from Assam. A rich flavor profile is the hallmark of this particular variety.
The aroma of the brew is rich in vegetal, smoky notes while heady flavors of blanched vegetables and cereal get accentuated by crisp notes of celery and spicy, clove-like hints on the palate. It finishes long and on a spicy, vegetal note. An impressive pick for a sip in the mornings.

the experience

Consuming note of puffed rice, followed by blanched greens and spinach with a hint of smoke

Luminous light green

The rigors of fertile lowland plains lend a robust quality to this tea. Pronounced note of puffed rice leads a stout vegetal flavor of blanched spinach, turning fresh, celery-like, towards the end. Infusion is full bodied, and astringent, and leaves a dry mouthfeel.

Sushi, clam chowder, pumpkin pie or raspberry.

Dry, hints of seaweed and roasted rice, slightly smoky

This is an excellent green tea for anytime of the day. I have had it in the morning, afternoon, and even in the evenings after dinner. In my experience it does not get bitter it oversteeped. The only con is that on the package it says to steep this tea for only two minutes, and when I do this it comes out too weak, and a three minute steep time makes this tea perfect.

Not a huge fan of green tea in general, but this one had a subtle aroma and was quite delicious. Reviewed as part of the Teabox subscription program.

Great green tea

Excellent green tea. Smells "grassy" and looks incredibly fresh. The leaves steep to a moderate green tea color. I enjoyed it with a very light sweetener. Reviewed as part of the Teabox subscription program.

Strong Green Tea

My boyfriend made me this tea for the first time and made the mistake of thinking it needed to steep for 5 minutes like the others I received. The result was VERY bitter. I made it again the next day, following the 2 minute instructions, and it was great... it has a great earthy flavor and aroma. I especially like it because it is actually a pretty strong green tea and green teas are probably my favorite.

My first Assam green

Delicious. Reasonably smoky, can clearly detect the roasted rice aroma. Vegetal, yes, but doesn't come with the bitterness that sometimes accompanies that. Can taste something akin to spinach. Seems a high quality product, definitely going to purchase again.

A light and dry green tea

I couldn't identify with the "vegetal", "spicy" or "celery" tastes in the product description. Nevertheless, I think this is a terrific tea which isn't flavourful (a good thing) and is nicely dry.

Best green tea I've ever had!

I will truthful and admit that I know next to nothing about tea. Not what it should look like, smell like, or taste like. However, I do know that this is most likely the best green tea I've ever had. It's the first loose-leaf tea that I've ever brewed on my own. The dry leaves are so peaceful to look at. They are all nice, light, muted, green colors. Very forest-y looking. I followed the directions on the package to the letter and it came out really well I think. Again, no prior experience to brewing loose-leaf tea before. The package says it should smell like roasted cereals and blanched greens. I'm not sure what roasted cereals are but it definitely smells like when I blanch spinach for my smoothies. The package says it should taste like cereal and seaweed. I'm not sure if I taste cereal, maybe I've never had good cereal either (just sugar-frosted flakes for me!), but I am totally reminded of seaweed salads when I drink this. And I love seaweed of all kinds. The look of the steeped tea is a pretty and soothing orange-ish, amber color. The same color as my cat's eyes. And he is a very nice cat. I really like this tea so far. My first taste was bit too hot and I burned my lip a tad, but the second taste after cooling for thirty more seconds was so heavenly. I wanted that taste to last forever. So I drank more tea. The aftertaste is really nice too. I've had teas before where they taste good while sipping, but then afterward they leave behind something that I don't want in my mouth anymore. But this one is delicious from start to finish.

Full of surprises!

This is the first Assam Green I've tried, and I love it! I was intrigued by the roasty aroma of the leaves and liquor, but when I tasted it, I was instantly reminded of a Japanese green tea. It has a wonderful umami flavor, but without the grassiness. I found this tea to be very bracing and it goes well with meals.

I drink one BIG cup of this tea without anything in it every day. It cleanses the body from inside and out and my face feels more "clean" from impurities than before.
