Jungpana Exotic Spring Clonal Black Tea

Full of fragrance and sweetness, this tea has been made with the celebrated AV2 clonal shoots. It’s big on flavors of succulent tropical fruits with traces of the more classic spring notes of aromatic citrus blossom.

Very fresh-tasting

Likes : Freshness.

Best Served : Anytime.

A fresh, mild, clean flavored brew with a lovely pale golden hue. The dry leaves have a nice springlike aroma, too. A pleasant surprise with this tea: after I got distracted and left it steeping for far too long, it hadn't become undrinkably bitter as some other first-flush Darjeelings do! One of the better first flush offerings.

Zingy, lemony and refreshing!

Likes : Great Aroma.

Best Served : Anytime.

Like a typical spring flush darjeeling, this tea makes a clean and refreshing cup. The pale gold liquor effuses invigorating aromas of lemon zest with a nuanced floral undernote, ending with herbaceous notes. The liquor tastes crisp and astringency free. Not much by natural sweetness, but still very enjoyable!

Delightful Tea!

Best Served : Anytime, Afternoon.

This tea is as fresh as they come. I enjoy how much the tea smells like flowers. It has a great flavor that I like to brew multiple times to see how it changes during each subsequent brew. I like drinking this in the afternoon if I am stuck at work and am unable to catch a mid-afternoon nap.

Wonderfull, strong aroma of citrus and honey, with floral notes. Taste also with citrus and honey. Great full body. Finish lingers long with further honey notes.

Disappointing Quality

Teabox isn't necessarily the least expensive source but over the past years we've enjoyed good quality tea. Not so this year. The tea lacks its typical fragrance and many of the leaves look burned rather than silver-sage in color. There's also a higher incidence of twigs. It's a pity Teabox doesn't accept returns or we'd have sent back our kilo.
