Great in the morning

Likes : Freshness.

Best Served : Morning.

This is the first time to try this tea. I have it in the morning and I love the heavenly Chinary undertones of rich flavor. I like to brew it strong and have it with milk and sugar. It holds up well. It is a mild Darjeeling well worth it.

This is a great stronger black tea. I like it best in the morning but it's also a good afternoon pick me up.

Likes : Freshness, Smooth Body, High Quality.

Best Served : Morning, Afternoon.

Bold but not too strong or bitter. I prefer it with milk and raw suger. It makes a nice change from English Breakfast teas.

Starts strong but looses steam midway

Likes : Freshness, High Quality.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Morning.

I got this tea as a free sample. The dry tea had a lovely fruity-flowery aroma, very similar to other excellent spring flush darjeelings i had tasted (including those from Castelton, Goomtee etc). The initial immediate aroma upon steeping are vegetal, slowly followed by the flowery notes. On the palate one gets the flowery-vegetal notes up front, but the fruity aromas are somehow not very evident. The liquor does have a mild astringency and subtle sweetness, but the lovely layered aromas of some of the other spring flush darjeelings are missing. Overall a very good tea, but just short of being wonderful...

An Excellent Darjeeling

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality.

Dislikes : Strong.

Best Served : Anytime, Morning, Afternoon.

Let me start this off by admitting that I am not tasting this under the most ideal tea-making circumstances. The joys of drinking tea at work. It has a very nice dark amber color in the cup, and a very light pleasant aroma. I found this to be pretty astringent, with a strong mineral taste with a hint of the well-known muscatel. to, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

This offering from the famed Margaret's Hope estate does not disappoint. Slightly astringent, nice muscatel, lovely deep amber infusion. I like to start my day with this one; it is one of my go-to teas for the morning.

This is an exquisite tea and a longtime favorite of mine. In the last two years, however, the Margaret's Hope that I have purchased locally in the U.S. and online from a number of merchants has been, sadly, inferior and definitely not the real thing. But my search is now over. Thank you, Teabox, for this lovely, authentic Margaret’s Hope Darjeeling. You have gained a loyal customer.
