Assam Breakfast Tea

description

This tea is dark, earthy, and full of gusto. Marked by the presence of tannins and notes of dates and nuts, the flavors, although typical Assam, are mellow, easy on the senses, and accommodate the addition of milk and sugar well.

WOW! This tea has it all: it's rich, sweet, robust and fruity! I was really surprised at how layered the flavour profile is, and it changes and lingers as you sip. A top-quality, fresh tea that is a real treat in the morning. Full of flavour but not too strong- just right :)

solid, sweet breakfast tea

Likes : Great Aroma, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Morning.

A broad and delicious breakfast pick-me-up, lots of dates on the pallet and a rousing aroma. Not quite as strong as some of the other breakfast teas, but most enjoyable with milk of a morning.

Lighter infusion is also excellent

Infusion: 212 deg F (100 C), 1.6 g per 220 ml water, 4 minutes A lighter infusion (7.27 g per 1000 ml water, 4 minutes) gives a great result with this tea. The aroma becomes delicate and seductive. The flavor of the liquid has a clean, essential Assam character that needs no milk or sugar. This lighter infusion has become my favorite way to brew this particular tea.

A morning staple

Pure, clean, aromatic and brisk. Unmistakably Assam. High quality is noticeable. Great plain, or with milk and sugar. 212 deg F (100 C), 2.3g per 235 ml water, 5 min

SUMPTUOUS FRUITINESS

Likes : Smooth Body, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Afternoon, Evening, Dessert Tea.

Although my personal preference is generally for a less fruity Assam, this is a very fine tea ... rich, mellow, with a full mouth feel. For me it is very like dessert, but it is brisk enough for breakfast if sweetness is your pleasure.
