Jungpana Special Summer Muscatel Black Tea

description

The Jungpana muscatel has always had an extremely well-rounded profile with immensely smooth flavors of oak wood and drupes. This year we were pleasantly surprised to find some tart and fresh notes which only upped the experience of the tea.

Good but not the best in taste

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Anytime.

I was drinking Castleton Summer Muscatel Black for the past few months and was really enjoying it. I decided to try this tea because I was looking for an organic Summer Muscatel option. My first few brews were very disappointing as they turned out to be bitter. Now that I've reduced the brewing time to 3 min and tried a bit lower temperature water, the brew is good. But I am going to continue searching for a great Summer Muscatel Black that is organic.

It's a sample pack I used, and it's really unique in aroma and taste, but bitter if overstepped. I enjoyed every cup of this tea!

Excellent black tea

Likes : Great Aroma, Unique Flavor Profile.

Great black tea for a traditionalist. Strong flavor profile but could be calmed nicely with added cream and sweetener. Reminiscent of an English breakfast. Leaves still had some green hint but mostly dark brown and when steeped as to recommendation, is a dark brown brew. Enjoyed this one! Reviewed as part of theTeabox subscription program.

Smells so yummy

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Unique Flavor Profile.

I love the aroma of this tea both dry left and brewed. It gives off an absolutely yum taste even before adding any sweetener. Actually after the first try I did not add any sweetener. Reviewed as part of the Teabox subscription program.

A unique and flavourful tea

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Unique Flavor Profile.

The dry leaves gave off a dominant aroma and were good quality whole leaves. The tea brewed had a good muscatel flavour with slight vegetal notes, making it a unique cup.

Meh...

Likes : Great Aroma.

Dislikes : No Flavor.

Best Served : Anytime.

I'm a tea nut, I love tea but I love black tea more than anything. This tea was just... Eh. It smells great, like almost a peachy fruity smell with that wonderful black tea note. But it tastes exactly like coffee. There isn't any black tea taste, nor any of the peachy fruity notes in the flavor. Basically meaning it is exactly like coffee, smells AMAZING. But tastes bitter and bland.

Found this tea unusually strong and lacks any sort of flavor. Won't order again.

Bitter, hints of dark chocolate

Likes : Unique Flavor Profile.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Afternoon.

I brewed this tea according to instruction, but got a very strong, bitter tasting tea. I lessened the amount that I brewed and detected a strong taste of dark chocolate, which was very interesting.
