Great tea for everyday

Some of my family drinks tea with milk and sugar, and this one is so good for that. It's also great without either one. It's hard to over brew and ruin. I tell my family to make this one, because I know that we will all enjoy it, even if tastes and brewing skills differ.

Mellow and delicious

Likes : Smooth Body, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Afternoon, Evening.

This medium caffeine summer flush Assam makes a delicious afternoon cup. Smooth fresh-baked-bread undertones support a distinctly peachy flavour. Its a similar tone to the Harmutty and Coombergram medium caffeine summer blacks and ideal for an afternoon or evening refreshment.

Sweet and good with milk

Likes : Great Aroma, Unique Flavor Profile.

Aroma and flavor of peaches and honey - it was sweet and it had a pleasant of peaches. It went well with milk and sugar and I didn't have any issues with bitterness. I would definitely recommend it if you like black tea with milk. You could probably drink it without milk just fine too, but I prefer with milk so I didn't try it without. Good accompaniment for sweets

Likes : Unique Flavor Profile.

Dislikes : Strong.

Best Served : Dessert Tea.

I don't add anything to my tea, but in this case, I believe it is best with a little added milk and sweetener. This tea has a quite a strong taste and would stand up well when paired with desserts. It is astringent, but not unpleasantly so. Which added milk, the aroma and aftertaste is very pleasant. As far as the peach and honey aroma, I personally don't smell that but it does have a somewhat sweet aroma.

Exceptionally Flavorful

Likes : Great Aroma.

Best Served : Morning.

In the order which I made on January 10th of this year I was sent a sample packet of this particular Assan tea. I have now gone through the entire sample and found the overall this is a mellow yet bodied tea. It offers some notes of fruit compote and honey, and is rounded and fragrant with sweet notes of exotic fruits such as rambutan. The leaves are well with a aromatic nose on the dry leaf, reminding of ripe kumquat. The fragrance is toasty and nutty as well. I found that I liked to have it most in the mornings. I was glad to have been given the opportunity to sample it.

Very Smooth & Sweet

It's amazing how much the peach and honey notes come out in the aroma and flavor of this tea. In the past I have preferred very strong CTC bold Assam tea-- this second flush came very close to converting me.

Smells better than it tastes

I think I enjoy smelling this tea more than actually drinking it. When following instructions (2tsp/6oz for 5 min) the tea comes out a bit strong, but also bland. It really needs honey in order to round out the flavor. If you do not want to use a sweetener, then I would recommend 1.5 tsp instead of 2. This will make it less strong, but more of the softer sweeter notes of the tea will shine through. Overall decent tea, but smell is better than the taste.

Intense Honey (Peach) Assam

Likes : Freshness, Unique Flavor Profile.

Dislikes : Strong.

Dry leaves are long and thin with a stone fruit aroma; they turn light brown when brewed. The packet says you should get honey and peach in the aroma, but I only get an overpowering honey scent. It's a little too much for me. I could only smell peach in the brewed leaves after they cooled. There is a light peach flavor in the palate; some smoothness with a dry finish. Overall I didn't like it. The honey aroma was too strong for me, but others might experience it differently. Reviewed as part of theTeabox subscription program.

Tasty anytime, though I've found it a perfect afternoon pick-me-up kind of tea. I found it a bit weak, but after increasing the amount per cup from the suggested amount it was lovely.

So Amazing

This is such a good tea! There's a hint of honey as the flavor fills your mouth, tempered by earthiness all while dancing on the line between too strong and not flavorful enough. This was my favorite tea from the box, to be honest. It's just so freaking good!

I nice well balanced black tea.

I haven't had a lot of exposure to teas from the Assam Region of India and I was certainly not disappointing. This tea has a very grass-like taste and is very smooth on the palate. I can brew the leaves 2-3 times before they fade in flavor which I really appreciate as it can stretch my tea that much further. I can drink this tea any time per day and it always provides a nice jolt of energy.

This is a delicious Assam tea with beautiful notes of sweet malt and honey. I prefer to drink it without milk as it is quite soft and elegant. Unfortunately it seems to be out of stock at the moment so I will have to wait a little while longer until I can sip again one of my favourite breakfast teas!

Like a lot of teas, this tea goes great with dried fruit. I prefer some orange and a little strawberry. Don't steep it too long! Has a really great flavor not like traditional back tea. Very rich and almost fruity.

Well rounded and Delicious

Black twisty tippy leaves dry with a delicate malty/fruity aroma. Wet, the lovely deep malt flavor of the leaves prevail. On first sip, I get the overwhelming feeling of “aaaaaah…..familiar”, which is why I love Assams! There is a wonderful maltiness and a touch of hoppiness (yay!) to this tea that creates a wholesome medium weight silken mouthfeel. Strangely, it is creamy, but also has a touch of astringency to it, that gently motivates you reach for your next sip. I am also finding a gentle top note of fruitiness that perhaps earlier in my tea explorations I would have missed. Hmmmm… this is a really nice Assam that I will consider ordering when the time comes to order from Teabox again! Flavors: Hops, Malt
