Guranse Exotic Spring White Tea

description

Easily the best white tea from Nepal this year, it does change one’s perception about teas from here. Much like a good Darjeeling white tea, it has a delicate texture and boasts a complex aromatic profile. But it packs a pleasant surprise – the largely mellow tea is interrupted by bursts of vibrant notes, keeping you going back for more.

The liquor is medium-bodied with well-rounded and well-balanced flavors. Aromatic notes of lily and citrus fruit are discernible in the middle against the backdrop of fresh greens. The liquor is mellow and flows easily throughout the palate. The note of lily is more pronounced in the second steep.

A true winner!

This was the second tea I tried from my sample - I love white teas in the afternoon and later in the day. This one is not fruity and has a consistent flavour. Highly recommend this!

Light and Woodsy

Fresh, light tea with a vegetable flavor. Maybe it's just me but I sense a bit of a bok choy and jasmine flavor. No scent but lots of flavor. Careful not too seep for too long, it doesn't get bitter but will get too strong/heavy for a white tea.

A super-fresh, high-quality tea. Very delicate - a clean, smooth, slightly astringent profile, nice to drink in the warmer months.

Good tea to finish a decent box on...

Likes : Freshness, Unique Flavor Profile.

Wonderfully fresh like the other teas in this box - again on the lighter side (as expected) but with some lovely floral hints - not for people who like black teas. Reviewed as part of theTeabox subscription program.

LOVE!

It's hard to believe this tea doesn't have anything added to it, because it has a lot of flavour! It almost smells slightly like an Earl Grey because of the citrus tones. It has an extremely pleasant, light, fresh taste that I can't get enough of. You can smell and taste the quality and freshness.

Light with a bit of Orange

This was my first sample. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I think I made my first pot a little too strong, but I think that made it better. Would order it again.

A simple green tea, done right.

Likes : Freshness, Unique Flavor Profile.

A palate refreshing tea, I've been enjoying this Nepal in the mornings. I live in an area somewhat famous for it's Mandarin oranges, and this tea reminds me of walking past orchards in my town. Closer in flavor to a green tea, it manages to stand out with a hint of natural sweetness to the citrus flavor.

My first white tea

Likes : Freshness.

Dislikes : Weak.

Best Served : Morning, Afternoon.

I was keen to try a white tea as I had never had one before. The taste is quite different and I was glad I tried this refreshing Nepali tea. There is a slight hint of bitterness although I may have overbrewed it by mistake. If you have never tried one before it's a good place to start.

I received this tea as white tea sampler sampler today, and because it was being advertised as a new and unique variety on the Tea Box website, I decided to give it a try first. I was definitely glad I did! This tea is so refreshing and has a great aroma. It is very smooth on the palate and has very subtle flavors that I simply can't find the words to fully describe. All I can say is that it reminiscent of vanilla or jasmine. I thoroughly enjoyed the liquor that this tea produced and look forward to brewing the rest of my sample soon.
