If there is one oolong that can compete in the same league as the Taiwanese and the Chinese kind it has to be this Nepalese offering. The rigors of high elevation, mineral-rich terrain, and cool air allow the plants to grow slowly resulting in an immensely flavorful tea. Also interesting is the fact that it’s from the country’s small-scale producers’ cooperative which produces small batches of orthodox teas.
Pulpy yellow fruit in the attack followed by hints of tomato seed and malt.
Mellow, smooth and medium bodied, the liquor features a complex mix of flavors. Sweet floral notes, resembling orchid flowers, make way for mild vegetal ones. The flavors do not linger long and turn quickly.
Ideal as a palate cleanser between food courses.
Sweet, woody, subtle hints of starch grain and corn in the attack with toasted almond and cashew in the release.
Mix of leggy, well-rolled, blackish-brown leaves, pale green buds, and olive green flakes.
Slightly sweet with notes of cooked greens.
Mix of whole green leaves and brown leaves.
cold filtered O2 Rich Water

Excellent Nepal oolong tea from the spring harvest. A high-quality small sheet with a reasonable proportion of tips, excellent taste.

Very agreeable but maybe not the strongest character
Likes : Freshness, Smooth Body.
I mostly agree with the two earlier reviews. This tea is not very complex, but there are several balancing notes all the same. Maybe I am fooled by the delicate character of this tea, thus misinterpreting as not very complex. Aroma: fresh grass and lemon. A hint of some spice. Taste: Nicely vegetal. Some floral notes and grass. Some sweetness. Finish: Delicate and quite sweet. Some notes of lemon and grass. Not lingering very long.

Pleasant and light

This is a cheerful and easy sipping Oolong. The leaves are very pretty with their long silvery tips. The tea itself is light and pleasant with grassy notes and hints of vegetable characters which are all perfectly balanced. We enjoy this tea after dinner and I agree with the previous reviewer that this is not a tea that is complex but it is very pleasant and light, therefore perfect for a late evening cup. I am still looking for the orchid and rhododendron aromas that are noted in the teabox tasting notes though. Since I have 100 gram bag to play with, I might still find them.

Good but light cup

This is my 3rd tea in my spring sample set and my expectations have been raised so high from the first two I tried that I had to give this a lower mark. The leaves are a mix of green and amber mildly fragrant with a mineral flinty dry smell with hints of green tomatoes, quite pleasant. , and it brews to a beautiful clear golden liquor. reminds me so much of a Darjeeling first flush that I had to check the bag to make sure I had not made a mistake. It is a great after dinner tea since this is a tea which is easy drinking and not likely to offended anyone, guest who run when you give then give then your vegetal Sencha would love it reminds me of a Jamesons Irish whisky loved by all, and unassertive. It is a pleasant tea but not a "wow" tea if you want a "wow" oolong I would advise the "2015 Jungpana Organic (Spring) Darjeeling Oolong Tea" unfortunately its finished "it look like am not the only one who knows a good thing ;-)"
