Chota Tingrai Classic Spring Black Tea

description

We were struck by the range of flavors in this tea – toasted nuts, yellow fruit, some wood and even malt. And while you can enjoy it with a splash of milk, this tea is worth trying plain.

The liquor is full-bodied, ample in the mouth, and a little brisk. Balanced notes of toasted almond, dried apricot and wood define the cup. It starts out clean and slightly sweet but reveals bigger, brighter notes towards the middle. The liquor peaks towards the end, revealing briskness along with notes of squash at the back.

A quite potent tea

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Morning, Afternoon.

This Assam is fairly powerful and should not be oversteeped. It has the very nice notes of honey and apricots to it, and never goes into floral territory. A great morning tea.

Best for iced tea

Likes : Freshness, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

Best Served : Dessert Tea.

A sweet a subtle Assam, but like other Assams, not as rich or full bodied as its 2nd flush / summer counterpart- However, this spring flush tea makes utterly wonderful iced tea where its brighter lighter flavour really comes through.

Wonderful Assam

Likes : Freshness, Great Aroma, Smooth Body, High Quality, Unique Flavor Profile.

Dislikes : Bitter if Over-Steeped.

Best Served : Anytime, Morning.

This is a well balanced, strong Assam. As it goes with most Assams, be careful not to oversteep! This tea is very malty and rich. A magnificent way to start or end the day.
